| Title: | Barnsley Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) | | Description: | The Barnsley branch of CAMRA of today has been around for 27 years, having newly reforming in 1980, however its first generation's inaugural meeting was held at the Ash Inn, Wombwell on 25th May 1974 - to plan the march against the closure of Oakwell Brewery. Today's branch has just over 260 members. We hold regular branch meetings and socials as well as monthly pub crawls (we are a very sociable bunch) - so why not come along and join us and do your bit to preserve real ale.
