Did you know that there are over 900 voluntary and community groups in Barnsley? And over 4000 volunteers?
VAB is Barnsley’s Council for Voluntary Service. Since 1978 VAB has supported and developed Barnsley’s ever-growing Third sector.
What do we do?
• Recruit volunteers and support organisations who want to use volunteers
• Hold regular legal surgeries on any legal matters such as constitutions, data protection, VAT, employment policy, charity law and much more.
• Provide comprehensive HR support free of charge
• Offer a range of training opportunities
• Work to ensure that the Third Sector is fully involved in, and able to influence, the planning and commissioning of services for the people of Barnsley.
